Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. Present: Kelly Reyos, Abraham Ramirez, Angela Ramirez, Councilman Jose Guardiola, Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Maria Arce, Sandra Escobar, Johni Grabinski, Jennifer Martin, Councilman Craig Hurst Absent: Ronna Sanchez 2. Regular Business Items Financial Update Board member Riggs-Gonzales provided the latest financial report. Approval of Minutes Motion to approve minutes by board member Martin. Seconded by board member Guardiola. Motion was approved. Meeting Minutes of July 13, 2021 Attachments: 07/13/21 3. Other Business o Music in the Park Three concerts down, one more to go. Overall feedback so far has been positive. Considerations for next year's concerts; translate Music in the Park concerts banners and signs, and make sure they're big enough to reach all details. Board members Grabinski and Martin will help input all surveys from the concerts. o Commerce City Eats Board member Sanchez submitted a proposal for this years Commerce City Eats. Board member Riggs-Gonzales motioned to approve the proposal. Board member Ramirez seconded. Motion was approved. Staff will work on getting website updated. o Art Exhibition Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes August 10, 2021 Board members reviewed all submitted proposals. Board member Martin motioned to approve all proposals. Board member Guardiola seconded. Motion passed 10-Aye 1-Nay Staff will work with the art committee to organize the display. 4. New Business o Vice President Former board member Hunt-Duran resigned last month. There's a current vacancy until the next round of elections during the planning retreat this fall. Board member Martin has nominated self for the interim position. Board member Ramirez motion to accept nomination and accept Martin as the Interim Vice President. Board member Guardiola seconded. Motion was approved. o Social Media With former board member's resignation, board member Martin will help out with social media. o Planning Meeting Board President asked members to start thinking of a date in the fall. Next meeting we will vote on a date. 5. Member Comments/Announcements o Next Meeting, September 14, 2021 o Paint-a-thon, September 28 6.
