Call To Order Chair Plummer called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. Present 10 - Commissioner Carol Boyd, Commissioner Carole Harvell, Commissioner George Maxey, Commissioner Mary Chan, Commissioner Myrna Ferguson, Commissioner Tillie Villareal, Alternate Commissioner Mary Natho, Alternate Commissioner Tina Ledesma, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas, and Council Member Susan Noble Absent 1 - Commissioner Jennie Loveridge 2. Guest Speaker - Detective Conni Crook The Guest Speaker was rescheduled for a future meeting. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 22-194 Minutes of June 9, 2022 Meeting Board member Ledesma made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 9, 2022 meeting. Vice Chair Boyd seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 4. Financial Update A. Council Allocation of $10,000 Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas spoke on the allocation of additional funding to the Senior Commission. The Board brainstormed ideas on how the funding could be spent. Board member Natho arrived at 3:09 p.m. Councilwoman Noble arrived at 3:15 p.m. Board member Maxey arrived at 3:25 p.m. Chair Plummer made a motion to add a Senior Fan Initiative. Senior Housing Visits The Board began discussing the next Senior Housing visits. 6. Senior Resource Fair Celebration The Board celebrated the success of the first Senior Resource Fair. 7.
