Call To Order Chair Plummer called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. Present 10 - Commissioner Carol Boyd, Commissioner Carole Harvell, Commissioner George Maxey, Commissioner Jennie Loveridge, Commissioner Myrna Ferguson, Commissioner Tillie Villareal, Alternate Commissioner Mary Natho, Alternate Commissioner Tina Ledesma, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas, and Council Member Susan Noble Absent 1 - Commissioner Mary Chan 2. Guest Speaker: Jyotsna Khattri, RTD Jyotsna Khattri gave a presentation on RTD services. The Commission discussed transportation challenges and resources in Commerce City. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 22-220 Minutes of July 21, 2022 Meeting Commissioner Ledesma made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 21, 2022 meeting. Commissioner Boyd seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 4. Senior Fan Initiative The Commission discussed the Senior Fan Initiative. Vice Chair Boyd made a motion to spend up to $5,000 on fans to be distributed to Commerce City seniors. Commissioner Villareal seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 5. Senior Housing Visits The Commission discussed the fall and winter senior housing visits. Vice Chair Boyd made a motion to allocate $500.00 for each annual visit. Other Business Senior Resource Guide - Request to Add Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, provided information on a request to add information on Senior Storage Solutions to the Senior Resource Guide. The request was tabled until the Commission could review the information. Senior Commission Apparel Commissioner Ferguson made a motion to purchase a polo and cardigan for each member. Vice Chair Boyd seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Regional Summit of Senior Commissions The Board discussed the Regional Summit of Senior Commissions and it was determined who was interested in attending. 7.
