Call to Order Chair Plummer called the meeting to order at 2:06 p.m. Present 6 - Commissioner Carole Harvell, Commissioner George Maxey, Commissioner Jennie Loveridge, Commissioner Tillie Villareal, Alternate Commissioner Tina Ledesma, and Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas Absent 2 - Commissioner Myrna Ferguson, and Council Member Susan Noble 2. Approval of Minutes Min 22-265 Meeting Minutes of Sept. 8, 2022 Meeting Board member Chan made a motion to approve the minutes of Sept. 8, 2022 meeting. Vice Chair Boyd seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 3. Officer Elections Board member Boyd made a motion to approve Carli Plummer as Chair of the Senior Commission. Board member Harvell seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Board member Villareal made a motion to approve Carol Boyd as Vice Chair of the Senior Commission. Board member Harvell seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 4. 2023 Goal Development The Commission discussed and developed 2023 goals. Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas arrived at 3:34 p.m. 5. 2023 Budget Discussion The Board provided feedback on the 2023 draft budget and discussed the remaining 2022 budget. 6. 2023 Calendar Review The Commission discussed the 2023 calendar. Vice Chair Boyd made a motion to approve $200 for Fall Fest supplies. Board member Villareal seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas left at 4:44 p.m. 8. Guest Speaker Brain Storm The Commission discussed upcoming Guest Speakers during the 2023 Calendar Review. The Commission reviewed a draft Senior Resource Brochure. Board member Loveridge made a motion to change the title in the Senior Resource Guide from Recreation and Leisure to Recreation and Activities. Board member Ledesma seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 9. Adjourn Chair Plummer adjourned the meeting for 4:59 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
