Call to Order Chair Ramirez called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. Present 8 - Board Member Abraham Ramirez, Board Member Angela Ramirez, Board Member Augusta Jonhart, Board Member Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Board Member Jennifer Martin, Board Member Kelly Reyos, Board Member Lucas (luke) Henderson, and Board Member Ronna Sanchez Absent 5 - Board Member Ana Munoz, Board Member Diana Munoz, Board Member Linda Barr, Council Member Craig Hurst, and Council Member Kristi Douglas 2. Approval of Minutes Min 22-266 Meeting Minutes of Sept. 13, 2022 Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve the minutes of the Sept. 13, 2022 meeting. Board member Jonhart seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 3. Regular Business: A. Ice Breaker Question The Board discussed the ice breaker question. B. Financial and Grant Update Board member Riggs-Gonzales provided the monthly financial update, and Board member Sanchez provided a grant update for the 2022 SCFD awards. Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes - Final October 11, 2022 4. Subcommittee Reports: A. Music in the Park Chair Ramirez asked the Board to brainstorm for the Annual Retreat. B. Community Art Shows Vice Chair Martin provided an update on the Fall Art Exhibition. The Board discussed the applicants. Board member Arce made a motion to approve five applicants, host the opening reception on Nov. 1 and a budget of $700. Board member Sanchez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. C. Student Art Shows The Board discussed the student art show. D. Social Media & Marketing Vice Chair Martin provided a social media update. E. Commerce City Eats No discussion. 5. New Business: A. Annual Retreat & Fall Fest Logistics Chair Ramirez provided reminders for the Annual Retreat and Fall Fest. 6. Other Business Chair Ramirez and Board member Ramirez resigned from the Cultural Council effective immediately. 7. Adjourn Chair Ramirez adjourned the meeting at 6:47 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
