1. Call to Order
Chair Plummer called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Present 10 - Commissioner Anita Mercado, Commissioner Carol Taylor-Boyd,
Commissioner Carole Harvell, Alternate Commissioner Diane Narvaez, Ex
Officio Gabriela Adeshewo, Commissioner Jennie Loveridge, Council
Member Susan Noble, Commissioner Tillie Villareal, Commissioner Carlita
Plummer, and Commissioner Tina Ledesma
Absent 5 - Commissioner George Maxey, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas,
Commissioner Mary Chan, Commissioner Mary Natho, and Commissioner
Myrna Ferguson
2. Guest Speaker: Roxzana Martinez, Senior Navigator
The Guest Speaker was unable to join us due to illness.
3. Approval of Minutes
Min 23-198 Minutes of July 13, 2023
Commissioner Mercado made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 13, 2023
meeting. Commissioner Villareal seconded the motion which was approved
unanimously.
4. Public Comment
None.
5. Monthly Budget Update
Staff provided a budget update.

6. New Business:
A. Fall Fest Participation
The Commission discussed and determined they would participate in Fall Fest.
Councilwoman Noble arrived.
B. 2023 Service Project Ideas
The Commission brainstormed service project ideas. It was determined that this item
will be discussed again in September.
7. Old Business:
A. 8/31 Lunch & Learn Event
The Commission discussed logistics for the 8/31 Lunch & Learn event.
B. Remaining Senior Outreach Events Planning
The Commission discussed the remaining Senior Outreach events.
8. Other Business
The Commission discussed the Senior Needs Assessment, holiday event and the
PRG Master Plan.
9. City Council Updates
No update.
10. Adjourn
Chair Plummer adjourned the meeting at 4:59 p.m.
