Call To Order/Roll Call Vice Chair Carol Taylor-Boyd called the meeting to order at 3:06 p.m. Present 8 - Commissioner Carol Taylor-Boyd, Ex Officio Tina Ledesma, Chair Carlita Plummer, Commissioner E. Diane Narvaez, Commissioner Melinda Mcgowan, Commissioner Carole Harvell, Commissioner Mary Natho, and Commissioner Scott Hefty Excused 3 - Mayor Pro Tem Susan Noble, Ex Officio Gabriela Adeshewo, and Alternate Commissioner Antonia Dell Absent 2 - Council Member Kristi Douglas, and Commissioner Myrna Ferguson 2. Approval of Minutes Min 24-158 Meeting Minutes of the August meeting This Minutes were approved. 3. Public Comment There was no public comment. 4. Monthly Budget Update Commissioners reviewed the budget in relation to planning for upcoming events. 5. Upcoming Events Months of September and October Commissioners discussed the distribution of volunteer hours, information that will be provided and the craft activity for the upcoming Fall Fest Outreach event. In addition, Commissioners discussed the walk through date and time to plan for the Senior Social Event. 6. September 18th Lunch and Learn Logistics Commissioners finalized volunteers and planning for the upcoming Lunch and Learn. Social Event 2024 Commissioners selected the name "Dancing Though the Decades: An Evening of Music, Fun, Food & Memories" to be the name of the social event. Planning teams gave updates on Registration, Music and Entertainment, Food and Drinks and Decorations. 8. End of Year Party Commissioners confirmed the date for the End of Year Party. 9. Nominations for October Elections Vice Chair Carol Taylor-Boyd and Commissioner Sue Mcgowan presented themselves as candidates for Chair. Commissioner Diane Narvaez presented herself as a candidate for vice chair. 10. Other Business Name tags were distributed to new commissioners. 11.
