Call To Order/Roll Call A special meeting of the Urban Renewal Authority of Commerce City was called to order by Chair Huseman on February 13, 2023, at 7:00 PM. A motion was made by Vice Chair Allen-Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Kim, to excuse members not present. Administrative Business 2022 Urban Renewal Authority Annual Report and Strategic Planning Outlook A motion was made by Vice Chair Allen-Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Kim, that this item be continued to a later date. Resolutions A RESOLUTION OF THE URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY APPROVING THE PUBLIC FINANCE AND REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE SAND CREEK BUSINESS AREA URBAN RENEWAL PLAN. A motion was made by Vice Chair Allen-Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Madera, that this Resolution be approved. VOTE: Aye: 9- Chair Huseman, Vice Chair Allen-Thomas, Commissioner Madera, Commissioner Millard-Chacon, Commissioner Noble, Commissioner Hurst, Commissioner Kim, Commissioner Tedesco and Commissioner Lovato Excused: 3- Commissioner Ford, Commissioner Douglas and Commissioner Machuga A RESOLUTION OF THE URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AMENDED AND RESTATED INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY TAX INCREMENT REVENUE SHARING WITH THE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT UNDER THE SAND CREEK BUSINESS AREA URBAN RENEWAL PLAN A motion was made by Vice Chair Allen-Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Madera, that this Resolution be approved. Presentations Presentation updating the Urban Renewal Authority of the City of Commerce City on the status of marketing and sales efforts for Tract A & B at Mile High Greyhound Park. Bill Aiken, Director of Urban Renewal, provided an update on the sale and marketing efforts for Tracts A and B at the Mile Greyhound Park. 6. Executive Session An executive session of the Commerce City Urban Renewal Authority pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(a) to address the sale of real property, specifically Tract A and Tract B within the Mile High Greyhound Park, and Commerce City Page 2 Urban Renewal Authority Meeting Minutes - Final February 13, 2023 also pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(e) for the purpose of instructing negotiators with regard to the same. A motion was made by Commissioner Hurst, seconded by Commissioner Madera, to enter into an executive session of the Commerce City Urban Renewal Authority pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(a) to address the sale of real property, specifically Tract A and Tract B within the Mile High Greyhound Park, and also pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(e) for the purpose of instructing negotiators with regard to the same.
