Call To Order/Roll Call A regular meeting of the Veterans Commission of the City of Commerce City was called to order on January 17, 2023 at 6:19pm by Chair Reed. Present 5 - Commissioner Kathryn Nay, Commissioner Kevin Reed, Commissioner Mark Chadwick, Commissioner Scott Hefty, and Commissioner Travis Watkins Absent 6 - Commissioner Benjamin Huseman, Commissioner David Lewis, Commissioner Eloy Espinoza, Commissioner Erik Melendez, Commissioner Gary Reed, and Commissioner Oscar Madera 2. Approval of Minutes Min 22-341 Minutes 20221115 and 20221220 Members unanimously approved the minutes of the November 15, 2022 and December 20, 2022 meetings. 3. Veterans Day Event Commissioners discussed partnering with the Parks, Recreation, and Golf department for a Veterans' Day event in 2023. 4. Legislative Discussion Commissioners discussed pending legislation pertaining to veterans at the Colorado legislature. 5. 2023 Planning and Budget Commissioners discussed creating a work plan and budget tracking process for 2023. 6. Other Business/Open Forum There was no other business. 7.
