Business RAK update/debrief Dedicated youth and community staff March 3 meeting, PRG presentation from 7:30 - 8 p.m. Think about and ask your friends: a.) What does the city need to provide for youth and teens to feel comfortable and want to come to the Recreation/Community Center? b.) What types of programs and services would youth like to see at the Recreation Center? 4. Signature Project 1. Plant Trees a.) City celebrates Arbor Day in April. Can work with them on project. 2. Adopt a street a.) Minimum of one year, at least four times a year. Get sign along roadside. 3. Recycling event 4. River Clean up 5. Sand Creek Greenway a.) Volunteer activities include trash pick up, removing invasive species, planting native trees and shrubs, removing graffiti, and repairing the trail 6. Nature Hike 7. Community Park planting 8. Field Day at Elementary 9. Project with the Nat. Wildlife Refuge a.) A variety of opportunities are available in visitor services, natural resource management, administration, and service projects. 10. Fishing Frenzy in April 6. Upcoming Dates: March 22: Visiting Colorado State Capitol a.) All day event. Will take bus to and from Civic Center. Times to come later.
