Call To Order Vice Chair Velasco-Zubia called the meeting to order at 6:47 p.m. Present 7 - Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Commissioner Isabela Velasco-Zubia, Commissioner Megan Pham, Commissioner Michael Kelley, Commissioner Ingrid Barnett, and Commissioner René Bullock Absent 4 - Commissioner Keegan Jones, Commissioner Kenia Prieto, Commissioner Morgan Smith, and Council Member Kristi Douglas 2. Approval of Minutes Min 22-132 Minutes of the May 19, 2022 Meeting Commissioner Bullock made a motion to approve the minutes of May 19, 2022 meeting. Commissioner Pham seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. 3. Challenge Question The Commissioners discussed the challenge question. Commissioner Barnett made a motion to approve Commissioner Kennison as the Youth Commission Time Keeper. Commissioner Kelley seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. Commissioner Acevedo self-nominated as secretary. Commissioner Bullock made a motion to approve Commissioner Acevedo as the Youth Commission Secretary. Commissioner Kelley seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. 2022 Calendar Review/Changes The Commission discussed the calendar for the remaining months of 2022. Commissioner Bullock made a motion to cancel the August 4, 2022 Youth Commission Meeting in lieu of attending the Music in the Park event. Commissioner Pham seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Subcommittee Work Time - Recruitment and Summer Retreat The Commissioners discussed potential recruitment strategies and brainstormed ideas for the summer retreat. Commissioner Kennison made a motion to create a recruitment swag subcommittee to determine what would be ordered for the Music in the Park recruitment events. Commissioner Kelley seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Subcommittee Reports No action was taken on this item. 5. Other Business No action taken. 6.
