Call To Order Vice Chair Boyd called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. Present 11 - Commissioner Carlita Plummer, Commissioner Carol Boyd, Commissioner Carole Harvell, Commissioner George Maxey, Commissioner Jennie Loveridge, Commissioner Mary Chan, Commissioner Tillie Villareal, Alternate Commissioner Mary Natho, Alternate Commissioner Tina Ledesma, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas, and Council Member Susan Noble Absent 2 - Commissioner Gabriela Adeshewo, and Commissioner Myrna Ferguson 2. Guest Speaker Guest Speaker Stephen Youdeem presented on a future senior housing project in Commerce City. Councilwoman Noble and Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas excused themselves from the presentation to maintain neutrality for potential, future City Council decisions. Chair Plummer arrived at 3:12 p.m. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 22-145 Minutes of the May 12, 2022 Meeting Vice Chair Boyd made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 12, 2022 Senior Commission meeting. Board member Natho seconded the motion which passed unanimously. 4. Budget Update Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, provided a budget update for the 2022 Fiscal Year. 5. Senior Resources Fair Review The Board discussed the successes and areas for improvement at the Senior Resource Fair. Commerce City Page 1 Senior Commission Meeting Minutes - Final June 9, 2022 6. Promotional Items - T-Shirts, Hearts, Pens, etc. Chair Plummer shared interest in purchasing new apparel for Commissioners. The discussion on promotional items and new apparel was tabled until a future meeting. 7. Mid-Year Accomplishments Discussion Chair Plummer suggested conducting one hour of business and then having a small mid-year celebration at the July meeting. Board member Loveridge made a motion to conduct one hour of business and have a one hour mid-year celebration at the July meeting. Board member Chan seconded the motion which passed unanimously. 6.
