Call to Order Chair Smith called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. Present 6 - Commissioner Ingrid Barnett, Commissioner Isabela Velasco-Zubia, Commissioner Morgan Smith, Commissioner Michael Kelley, Commissioner René Bullock, and Commissioner Travis Watkins Absent 3 - Commissioner Keegan Jones, Commissioner Kenia Prieto, and Council Member Kristi Douglas 2. Guest Speaker: Mayor Huseman The guest speaker was rescheduled for a future meeting. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 22-242 Minutes of the Sept. 1, 2022 Meeting The Commission provided edits to the minutes of the Sept. 1, 2022 meeting. 4. New Business: Upcoming Volunteer Events: Fall Fest (10/22) + 9Health Fair (11/5) Staff Liaison, Misti Sanchez, provided an update on upcoming volunteer opportunities. Old Business: Brighton Image Summit Staff Liaison, Misti Sanchez, provided an update on registration for the Brighton Image Summit. Sweatshirt Requests Staff Liaison, Misti Sanchez, gathered sweatshirt orders. Holiday Service Project The Commission discussed the Holiday Service Project, including the activity and refreshments. The Commission discussed moving the December 1, 2022 meeting to a new date. Voter Registration Project The Commission tabled this project. 6. Veteran's Day Project - Work Time The Commissioners worked on the Veteran's Day Service project. 7. Adjourn Chair Smith adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
