Call to Order Chair Acevedo called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. Present 12 - Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Commissioner Adam Day, Commissioner Eduardo Quintana, Council Member Kristi Douglas, Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Megan Pham, Commissioner Paia Martinez, Commissioner Travis Watkins, Commissioner Elizabeth Martinez-Atayde, Commissioner Manuel Guardiola-Rodriguez, Commissioner Alejandra Guardiola, and Commissioner Serrianna Safieh Absent 4 - Commissioner Christina Wickersheim, Commissioner Cobe Koonce, Commissioner Olivia Cordero, and Council Member Craig Kim 2. Ice Breaker Activity The students introduced themselves to the new members, and participated in the ice breaker activity. 3. Public Comment None. 4. Approval of Minutes Min 23-264 Minutes of Oct. 5, 2023 Meeting Commissioner Safieh made a motion to approve the minutes of Oct. 5, 2023 meeting. Vice Chair Pham seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 5. 2024 Student Conference Planning: A. Topic Discussion B. Date Discussion C. Location Discussion The Commission discussed topics for the 2024 student conference, determined it would be held in the Fall and discussed location. Holiday Celebration The Commission discussed the holiday party. 7. Old Business: A. Teddy Bear Drive The Commission discussed the Teddy Bear Drive. 8. Other Business Chair Acevedo shared about the candidate forum at ACHS. 9. Adjourn Chair Acevedo adjourned the meeting at 7:46 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
