Call To Order Chair Acevedo called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present 14 - Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Commissioner Adam Day, Commissioner Eduardo Quintana, Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Megan Pham, Commissioner Olivia Cordero, Commissioner Paia Martinez, Commissioner Travis Watkins, Commissioner Elizabeth Martinez-Atayde, Commissioner Alejandra Guardiola, Commissioner Serrianna Safieh, Commissioner Christopher Sauzo, Commissioner April Acevedo, and Commissioner Robert Grandinetti Absent 5 - Commissioner Christina Wickersheim, Commissioner Cobe Koonce, Council Member Kristi Douglas, Council Member Craig Kim, and Commissioner Manuel Guardiola-Rodriguez 2. Approval of Minutes Min 23-293 Minutes of October 19, 2023 Commissioner Kennison made a motion to approve the minutes of Oct. 19, 2023 meeting. Commissioner Safieh seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 3. Guest Speakers: Commerce City Community Relations Representatives from the City's Community Relations Division spoke on their careers as marketing specialists. 4. Public Comment None. 5. 2024 Student Conference Planning: A. Name of Conference The Youth Commission discussed the conference. Project Present: Volunteer Opportunity Commissioner Suazo made a motion to approve the 2024 budget. Commissioner Kennison seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Staff presented on an upcoming volunteer opportunity for Project Present. 7. Old Business: A. Teddy Bear Drive B. Holiday Celebration Reminder The Commission created the collection bins for the Teddy Bear Drive. Chair Acevedo provided an update on the holiday party. 10.
