Call To Order/Roll Call - 6:30 PM Chair Acevedo called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present 14 – Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Councilmember Douglas, Commissioner Megan Pham, Commissioner Travis Watkins, Commissioner Paia Martinez, Councilmember Kim, Commissioner Alejandra Guardiola, Commissioner Serrianna Safieh, Commissioner Eduardo Quintana, Commissioner Adam Day, Commissioner Christopher Suazo, Commissioner April Acevedo, Commissioner Robert Grandinetti Absent 5 – Commissioner Elizabeth Martinez-Atayde, Commissioner Manuel Guardiola-Rodriguez, Commissioner Cobe Koonce, Commissioner Olivia Cordero, Commissioner Christina Wickersheim 2. Guest Speaker - Mindi Patterson with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Mindi Patterson with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – Discussed what her job is and all other options for careers with Fish and Wildlife. She discussed the steps they would need to get into these positions. 3. Public Communication None 4. Approval of Minutes Councilmember Douglas made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 18, 2024 meeting and Commissioner Kennison seconded the motion; which was approved unanimously. New Business A. Approve Revision of By-Laws B. Meeting Dinners Approve Revision of By-Laws: Commissioner Grandinetti motioned to approve the revision to the By-Laws and Commissioner Kennison seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Meeting dinners and desserts were discussed: The commission agreed that they would rather not have dessert at the Thursday meetings and save that money for something bigger during the holiday season. 7. Other Business/Updates A. Washington, D.C. Parent Meeting at EP - Thurs. Feb 15th, 5:30 PM We shared that at this time that the NLC conference was full and we cannot register for the conference. The NLC is looking for larger space to hold more youth and they will be in touch at the end of the week. We are still looking for other options. 8.
