Parkway Dr., Commerce City, CO 80022 1. Call To Order/Roll Call - 5:30 PM Call to order: Chair Acevedo called the meeting to order at 5:48pm. Present: Commissioner Bob Grandinetti, Commissioner Christopher Suazo, Commissioner Cobe Koonce, Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Serrianna Safieh, Commissioner Adam Day, Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Commissioner Anna Saia Absent: Councilmember Douglas, Commissioner Olivia Cordero, Commissioner Travis Watkins, Commissioner Christina Wickersheim, Commissioner Paia Martinez, Councilmember Kim, Commissioner Elizabeth Martinez-Atayde, Commissioner Manuel Guardiola-Rodriguez, Commissioner Alejandra Guardiola, Commissioner Eduardo Quintana, Commissioner April Acevedo, Commissioner Maria Marentes, Commissioner Diana C Juarez-Malagon. 2. Public Comment NA 3. Approval of Minutes Commissioner Kennison made a motion to approve the minutes of May 2, 2024. Commissioner Safieh seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Min 24-139 May 2, 2024 Meeting Minutes 4. Unfinished Business Leslie shared updates on the progress made on planning and marketing the KSA conference over the summer. Everyone discussed pushing it to the next meeting with hopes of more members joining to finalize details. - The commission voted on a new chair and vice chair for the 2024-2025 year. Aliyah Acevedo was voted for chair for her second and final term in this role. Serrianna Safieh was voted as vice chair for her first term in this role. - The commission created new SMARTIE Goals for the 2024-2025 year. - The commission discussed pushing the budget approval to the next meeting with hopes of more members joining to discuss it. - Leslie reviewed the new 2024-2025 year calendar with the commission and reviewed the commission point system. - The commission suggested new apparel for the 2024-2025 year. They will be bringing suggestions to the next meeting. - The commission discussed new marketing materials for the 2024-2025 year. They have requested quotes on a few items that will be presented at the next meeting. - Shannon shared with the commission the plans for a story walk project at the newly renovated Monaco Park. Many students were interested and signed off on a form stating their interest and support in building the story walk. 6. Adjourn Chair Acevedo adjourned the meeting at 7:37pm.
