The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Work Session on Tuesday, April 30, 2024,
at 6:00 p.m. in the Reception Hall at Coppell Arts Center, 505 Travis Street, Coppell,
Texas.
Work Session (Open to the Public) 2nd Floor Conference Room
1. Call to Order
Mayor Wes Mays called the meeting to order, determined that a quorum was
present and convened into the Work Session at 6:00 p.m.
2. Citizens’ Appearance
Mayor Wes Mays asked for those who signed up to speak:
1) Margaret Brightwell, 447 W. Bethel Rd., spoke in regards to parking in Old
City of Coppell, Texas Page 1

2) Dan Koller, 521 Anderson Ave., spoke in regards to the Spring Game for
Coppell High School's Coppell Cowboys.
3) William Henze, 721 S. Coppell Rd., spoke in regards to parking in Old Town.
4) Pam Montgomery-Fitz, 454 Houston St., spoke in regards to parking in Old
Town.
5) Michelle Broadhurst, 454 Houston St., spoke in regards to parking in Old
Town.
6) Henry Tran, 602 Hawk Lane, spoke in regards to tennis and pickleball
facilities.
7) Chaoteng Yang, 204 Sleepy Hollow Ln., spoke in regards to tennis and
pickleball facilities.
8) Yuranaya Manian, 116 Oakbend Dr., spoke in regards to tennis and
pickleball facilities.
9) Gary Cramer, 755 W. Main St., spoke in regards to parking in Old Town.
3. A. Presentation and update regarding Wagon Wheel Tennis and
Pickleball Center operations.
B. Discussion regarding parking in Old Town Coppell.
C. Discussion regarding Banner Poles and Digital Signage.

4. Adjournment
There being no further business before the City Council, the meeting was
adjourned at 8:08 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas will meet in Work
Session at 6:00 p.m., in the Reception Hall at the Coppell Arts Center, 505 Travis Street,
Coppell, Texas.
As authorized by Section 551.071(2) of the Texas Government Code, this meeting may be
convened into closed Executive Session for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice
from the City Attorney on any agenda item listed herein.
As authorized by Section 551.127, of the Texas Government Code, one or more
Councilmembers or employees may attend this meeting remotely using videoconferencing
technology.
The City of Coppell reserves the right to reconvene, recess or realign the Work Session or
called Executive Session or order of business at any time prior to adjournment.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following items:
