Parkway Boulevard. As authorized by Section 551.127, of the Texas Government Code, one or more appointed board member or employees may attend this meeting remotely using videoconferencing technology. The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items: Regular Session (Open to the Public) 1. Call To Order Chair Guignon called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Members Present: Ed Guignon, Nick Paschal, Margaret Bryan, Mary Arnold, Maheshika Ratnayake, Maureen Corcoran, Zainab Tinwala, Jeff Roller, Sidarth Shenoy City of Coppell, Texas Page 1 Parks and Recreation Board Minutes August 1, 2022 Staff Present: Jessica Carpenter, Sheri Belmont, Adam Richter, Meagan Wolfe, Cecilia Gandara 2. Citizens' Forum Dan Koller, 521 Anderson Ave., expressed his concern in regards to signage at the Kid Country playground. George Piroumoff, 1721 E. Beltline Road, expressed his interest in the addition of an indoor pickleball center. 3. Annual update by the Coppell Baseball Association Josh Floren, President of the Coppell Baseball Association, gave a presentation in regards to registration and activities for the Coppell Baseball Association. 4. Discussion regarding the Six Questions Exercise The Board discussed all six questions. The Board will continue discussion at next months meeting. 5. Consider approval of minutes: June 6, 2022 A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran, seconded by Vice Chair Paschal, that this agenda item be approved. The motion carried by an unanimous vote. 6. Manager's Report - Ginene Delcioppo, Arts Center Manager Ginene Delcioppo, Arts Center Manager, gave an update on current and future activities at the Coppell Arts Center. 7. Youth Advisor's Report Youth Advisor Sidarth Shenoy informed the board of different events and programs other teens would like to see out in the parks and facilities. 8. Director’s Report Jessica Carpenter, Director of Parks and Recreation, gave an update on upcoming events and current projects. 9. Chair Report A. Future Agenda Items A. Moore Road and Magnolia Park plans. Financial report by the Director of Finance.
