Parkway Boulevard. As authorized by Section 551.127, of the Texas Government Code, one or more appointed board member or employees may attend this meeting remotely using videoconferencing technology. The purpose of this meeting was to consider the following items: Regular Session (Open to the Public) 1 Call To Order Chair Paschal called the meeting to order at 6:31 pm. Members present: Nick Paschal, Maureen Corcoran, Margaret Bryan, Mary Arnold, Jeff Roller, Edward Rose, Mike Ridgley, Hannah Greenberg City of Coppell, Texas Page 1 Parks and Recreation Board Minutes October 2, 2023 Members Absent: Zainab Tinwala, Enaika Kishnani Others present: Jessica Carpenter, Adam Richter, David Ellison, Marcos Mejorado, Vanessa Contreras, Cecilia Gandara 2 Citizens' Appearance McKee Smith, 342 Greentree Dr., expressed his concerns in regards to field usage and availability. Prashantha Balan, 304 Garden Grove Way, expressed his interest in adding a paved trail at Andrew Brown Park East. Sandra Anderson, 609 Loch Lane, expressed her concerns in regards to the conditions of the baseball fields especially the pitching mounds. This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Board or Commission on any matter. Anyone wishing to address the Board or Commission should register prior to the start of the meeting. There is a two (2) minute time limit for each citizen to speak, additional time may be granted by the Board or Commission. The Board or Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker during Citizens' Appearance. 3 Consider approval of Minutes: September 11, 2023 A motion was made by Boardmember Corcoran, seconded by Boardmember Bryan, that this Agenda Item be Approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 4 Annual update by the Coppell Lacrosse Association Brooks Carter, President of the Coppell Lacrosse Association, gave an update on registration numbers and activities in regards to Coppell Lacrosse. 5 Manager’s Update - David Ellison, Park Operations Manager Daid Ellison, Park Operations Manager, and Marcos Mejorado, Park Operations Supervisor, gave a presentation in regards to the Park Operations Division. 6 Youth Advisor's Report Nothing to report. 7 Director’s update regarding upcoming events, projects, and departmental developments. Jessica Carpenter gave an update on calendar events, project status and departmental activities. 8 Discussion regarding future agenda items. No items at this time.
