Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. Regular Session (Open to the Public) 1. Call To Order Chair Paschal called the meeting to order at 6:31 pm. Members present: Nick Paschal, Maureen Corcoran, Margaret Bryan, Mary Arnold, Zainab Tinwala, Jeff Roller, Edward Rose, Steve Harrison, Hazel Newton, Avery Fishman Staff present: Jessica Carpenter, Sheri Belmont, Adam Richter, Cecilia Gandara, Vanessa Contreras, David Ellison, Layne Cline 2. Citizens' Appearance Chair Paschal asked for those who signed up to speak: There were no Citizen's signed up to speak. 3. Consider approval of minutes: December 4, 2023 A motion was made by Boardmember Roller, seconded by Boardmember Arnold, that this agenda item be approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. Election of Officers A motion was made by boardmember Arnold, seconded by boardmember Roller to re-elect boardmember Paschal as Chair and boardmember Corcoran as Vice chair, the motion carried by a unanimous vote. 5. Discussion regarding Board branding and visibility Boardmember Rose suggested that the board gets a shirt or another form of identification to identify the Park Board members at City events. 6. Presentation and discussion regarding Community Experiences Master Plan Consultant Brad Moulton with Dunaway gave a brief overview on the Community Experiences Master Plan process. 7. Manager’s Update – Layne (Dusty) Cline, Parks/Public Works Projects Manager Layne Cline gave an update on current and upcoming Park projects. 8. Youth Advisor's Report Youth advisors expressed their excitement to be a part of the board and shared their desired goals for the year. 9. Director’s update regarding upcoming events, projects, and departmental developments. Director Jessica Carpenter updated the board on upcoming events and projects. 10. Discussion regarding future agenda items No items at this time. Adjournment There being no further items to come before the Parks and Recreation Board, the meeting was adjourned at 8:03 pm.
