EMERGENCY ORDINANCES Time Certain 10:30 a.m. E.-1. 16-4872 An Emergency Ordinance of the City of Coral Gables amending Emergency Ordinance No. 2016-07, by merging Sections 34-11(1) and (2) and removing any references to location, while continuing strict prohibition on mosquito infestations, providing for a repealer provision, severability clause, codification, and providing for an effective date. BOARDS/COMMITTEES ITEMS Time Certain 11:00 a.m. G.-1. 16-4838 Presentation of excerpts from the Historic Preservation Board meeting of February 18, 2016, requesting the following action: That the City Commission adopt a Resolution authorizing Ad Valorem tax relief for the property located at 1254 Coral Way, a Local Historic Landmark, legally described as Lots 3 and Lot 4, Block 1, Coral Gables Section “D” REV., according to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 25, at Page 74, of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida. The cost of improvements is estimated at $95,000.00, which would correspond approximately to $528.11 per year and $5,281.05 over ten years. (Historic Preservation Board Vote: 6-0) G.-2. 16-4844 Presentation of excerpts from the Historic Preservation Board meeting of February 18, 2016, requesting the following action: That the City Commission adopt a Resolution authorizing Ad Valorem tax relief for the property located at 239 Sarto Avenue, a Local Historic Landmark, legally described as Lots 41 & 42 and West ½ of Lot 40, Block 7, Coral Gables Coconut Grove Section Part One, according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 14 at Page 25 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The cost of improvements is estimated at $200,000.00, which would correspond approximately to $1,111.80 per year and $11,118.00 over ten years. CITY MANAGER ITEMS Time Certain 11:15 a.m. H.-1. 16-4834 A Resolution accepting the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Compliance Reports, and Management Letter, for the Fiscal Year ended September 30, 2015, by RSM US LLP, Certified Public Accountants. H.-2. 16-4862 A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the contract for Janitorial Maintenance Services to SFM Services, Inc ., in the amount of $1,192,809 annually, pursuant to Request for Proposals (RFP) 2015.10.26 and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award. H.-3. 16-4856 A Resolution authorizing a Piggyback Contract in accordance with Section 2-978 of the Procurement Code entitled “Use Of Other Governmental Unit Contracts (piggyback)”, with Dodec, Inc., from the City of Miami Gardens Professional Contractor’s Contract, pursuant to unit pricing to provide construction and maintenance repair services, to allow for repairs and improvements to the City of Coral Gables Memorial Youth Center facility, and other City facilities for a period running until July 31, 2017. (The City had previously utilized this Piggyback contract with Dodec up to a pre-authorized amount of $600,000. This action will allow continued use of the contract.) H.-4. 16-4879 A Resolution authorizing the City of Coral Gables to engage the firm of Perkins +Will for professional architectural, planning and design services related to the South Dixie Highway Master Plan project, at an amount not to exceed $ 150,000 as a piggyback contract; and further authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Annual Budget, to recognize as revenue a $150,000 transfer from the Capital Improvement Fund Balance, and to appropriate such funds to cover the cost of the Master Plan. H.-5. 16-4867 Presentation of a Neighborhood Renaissance Program Street Resurfacing Initiative for 2016, and a Resolution authorizing staff to proceed with such. H.-6. 16-4870 A Resolution in accordance with Section 2-26 of the City Code, entitled “Regular Meetings, Special Meetings”, setting forth the meeting dates through September 2016 as follows: Tuesday, June 14, 2016; Tuesday, July 26, 2016; Wednesday, July 27, 2016 (Budget Workshop); Tuesday, August 23, 2016; Tuesday, September 13, 2016; Tuesday, September 27, 2016. DISCUSSION ITEMS This time is for informal discussion among the City Commissioners, the City Manager and the City Attorney ADJOURNMENT NOTE Any person who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No . 2006-11, must register with the City Clerk, prior to engaging in lobbying activities before city staff, boards, committees and/or the City Commission.
