The City of Coral Gables will be holding its Investiture Ceremony on Friday, April 25,
2025, commencing at 11:30 a.m. Members of the public may participate in person, but
are also able to participate via the Zoom platform. Members of the public may join the
meeting via Zoom at (https://zoom.us/j/3054466800). The Meeting will also be
broadcasted live for members of the public to view on the City’s website
(www.coralgables.com/cgtv) as well as Channel 77 on Comcast.

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 11:43 a.m.

Present: 5 - Vice Mayor Anderson, Commissioner Castro, Commissioner Fernandez,
Commissioner Menendez and Commissioner Lago
INVOCATION
Father, Richard J. Vigoa of St. Augustine Church of Catholics Students gave the
Invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mirentxu and Catalin Lago led the Pledge of Allegiance.
NATIONAL ANTHEM
Ms. Rebecca Henriques Haak performed the National Anthem.
A. RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-84
A.-1. 25-8893 A Resolution of the City Commission officially accepting the City Clerk ’s Certification and
Declaration of the result of the City of Coral Gables General Biennial Election, which was
held on April 8, 2025, wherein voters re-elected Vince Lago to hold office as Mayor,
Group I, for a term of two years; said term to begin at noon on the third Fridat after the
election, until noon on the third Friday after the General Biennial Election scheduled for
April 13, 2027.

CITY OF CORAL GABLES GENERAL BIENNIAL ELECTION, WHICH WAS
HELD ON APRIL 8, 2025, WHEREIN VOTERS RE-ELECTED VINCE LAGO
TO HOLD OFFICE AS MAYOR GROUP I, FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS;
SAID TERM TO BEGIN AT NOON ON THE THIRD DAY AFTER THE
ELECTION, UNTIL NOON ON THE THIRD DAY AFTER THE GENERAL
BIENNIAL ELECTIONS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 13, 2027.
A motion was made by Vice Mayor Anderson, seconded by Commissioner
Fernandez, that this matter be adopted by Resolution Number 2025-84. The
motion passed by the following vote.

NOTE
Any person who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No .
2006-11, must register with the City Clerk, prior to engaging in lobbying activities before
city staff, boards, committees and/or the City Commission. A copy of the Ordinance is
available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall.
Any person, or persons, wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission
with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, will require a verbatim
record of the proceeding upon which the appeal is based. Interested persons should,
therefore, take the necessary steps to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings
is made which contains the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while
addressing the Commission, shall be barred from further audience before the
Commission by the Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the
Commission is granted by the majority vote of the Commission Members present .
Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal outbursts or any remarks in support or
opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited. Signs or placards shall not be permitted in
Commission Chambers.

public hearing or public comment portion of the meeting should contact the City ’s ADA
