City of Coralville Board of Adjustment Meeting March 17, 2014 Staff: Dee Marshek, Administrative Assistant Item 1: Meeting called to order 6:03 PM Item 2: Member present: Rice, Nicola and Boucher. Absent: Wells and Szczech Others present: Ken Kelly, Manager at Lenoch & Cilek /Ace Hardware. Item 3: Approval of February 18, 2014 Minutes. Boucher: Motion to approve. Nicola: Motion Seconded. Motion carried: 3-0 Item 4: Public Hearing request for a Conditional Use Permit of a Lawn & Garden Center for Lenoch & Cilek located at 1701 2nd Street. Public Hearing open: Ken Kelly, Manager at Lenoch & Cilek explains that the store has decided to move and increase the size of the Lawn & Garden Center this year. Moving and tenting the Lawn & Garden area to the south edge of the parking lot, which runs parallel with 2nd Street will provide more visibility. The previous space will be returned to customers or employee parking. Public Hearing closed: Members briefly discuss the request and the stores positive decision to move the Lawn & Garden Center. a) Consider approval of the Conditional Use Permit.
