CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Minutes of May 31, 2017 Present: Commission Members Eve Casserly; Josh Schamberger; and Lauren Merritt; Human Resource/Risk Manager Mike Funke; Meeting was called to order at 1:22 PM. Approve Agenda: Motion by Merritt; Second by Schamberger; Motion passed all ayes. Approve Minutes of March 24, 2017: Motion by Schamberger; Second by Merritt; Motion passed all ayes. Consider Certification of the Police Officer Hiring List Funke presented the Police Officer hiring list. He reported they were very pleased with the number of interviews conducted, 29. Also very pleased to submit a list of 11 candidates for approval. This is a large number compared to previous years and is due to the higher quality of candidates. Funke gave each member a brief bio of the 11 on the list. He reminded the commission that although presented in rank order, if approved, Chief Kron may hire in any order.
