FINAL City of Corona Library Board of Trustees' Minutes Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 5:30 p.m. Council Chambers 400 S. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jami Merchant, Chair. 2. CALL TO ORDER Chair Merchant called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. 3. MEETING MINUTES The minutes of the regular board meeting held on August 27, 2024 were approved. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC 1  FINAL None. 6. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS 6.1 Library Report September 2024 Director, Donna Finch, introduced Library Manager, Daniell Whittington, and the report to be presented. Daniell presented the Library report for August 2024. The Trustees provided comments. 6.2 Friends of the Corona Public Library Report Daniell Whittington read the Friends of the Corona Public Library report from Gretchen Doughty, President. Trustees provided comments. 6.3 Innovation Center Update Director, Donna Finch, introduced Assistant to the City Manager, Nicole McDaniel and Library Manager, Daniell Whittington and the Innovation Center Update. Nicole and Daniell presented the Innovation Center Update. The Trustees provided comments and had inquires. Donna Finch, Community Services Director, Daniell Whittington, Library Manager, and Nicole McDaniel, Assistant to the City Manager provided clarification. TRUSTEE COMMUNICATIONS Trustee Leonard mentioned how excited they are about ReaderCon this Saturday from 10am - 1pm. Trustee Heineman mentioned that the Library staff is to be commended for doing such a terrific job with this event. 8. ADJOURNMENT The next scheduled meeting of the Library Board of Trustees is on October 22, 2024. Chair Jami Merchant adjourned at 6:22 PM. 2
