4c Establishment of Goals and Objectives

Administrative Services Director Warman explained that that tax went into effect on
April 1, 2014 and the first payment was received July 1, 2014. The State Board of
Equalization distributes the revenue, advancing funding every three months, and
reconciling in the fourth month, deducting administrative charges and
miscellaneous items. He then showed the Committee where to find the applicable
information on the Town’s website, and stated that no funds have been spent yet,
and that one of the objectives of the measure was to build up cash reserves.
5. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
At the next Committee meeting, staff will provide the group with sample reports to
consider for use as templates for development of their annual reports.
Administrative Services Director Warman stated that there will be a special section
in the budget where items funded using Sales Tax funds will be listed. The first
annual report will be for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2014 showing the cash accrued
and then the committee can do a second one in September of this year, for Fiscal
Year ending June 30, 2015.
