Meeting called to order at 5:03 pm by Sam 3. Review Minutes a. Regular Meeting August 1, 2022 - David Ross votes to approve, David Rainey votes to second 4. Old Business: a. Ad Hoc Meeting August 9, 2022 i. went over upcoming meetings and websites b. Student Liaison and other member interest 5. New Business: a. Tai Updates i. Zoom Meeting with Carbondale Arts District - Amy Kimberly: Aug. 17 2:00 pm 1. Notes added in Google Drive a. make sure to include food production as an industry b. work on government buy in c. they do projects - give to the community more than they take d. $300,000 they’ve given to the community - one of the first creative districts e. do not create adversarial relationships with other local CDs f. checkout Trinidad’s Creative District and how the CD helped their economy g. it is so easy to come together about what they oppose and how to get them to come together for what they want h. utilize the offices of economic development i. contacting Tammy Graham - Anne Beach helped get this i. was affiliated with CCI and Wynn Jones knows her and she is a Mancos Resident ii. Meeting w/ Rachael Marchbankson Aug. 19 1. how can the idea be something that compliments the City’s goals a. infrastructure b. workforce housing c. land use code 2. no longer doing a large park on 7th, likely doing small pocket parks and maybe we could partner - possibly housing units? 3. Cortez Cultural Center - go check out their opening - Satchel? b. Rotary Project update - workday planned for the alleyway mural - blacklight, Becky is joining Rotary also… c.
