City of Cortland - Historic/Architectural Board Historic and/or Architectural Advisory Board City of Cortland May 14th, 2019 A special meeting of the Historic and/or Architectural Review Board was held on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019, at 25 Court St, Mayor’s Conference Room at 8:00 am. Present: Commissioners Richard Stock, Dan Dineen, and Karina Murphy, and Chris Barnes Excused: Chairman Linda Kline, Commissioner Pam Abbott. Staff Present: Confidential Secretary Devon Rainbow, ZEO Bob Rhea There was a motion to switch the order of the agenda items. Motion by: Comm. Murphy Seconded by: Comm. Barnes Approved: Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Item #1 – 46 Main St. (Armstrong) - Signage  New business The main concern was the wording of “Dead People’s Stuff”. Murphy Approved: Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Item #2 – 64 Main St. (Seales) – Outdoor changes  Install 2 speakers  Install 2 cameras  Extend current concrete Judd, the owner of Bru, was present to speak. He would like to post security cameras for the building. He would also like to increase the seating area, so there would like to be a 9ft. extension. Motion by: Comm. Dineen Seconded by: Comm. The windows have a magnetic screen, and the color would be red. All the trim will be painted, and the headers will be redone to keep everything matching and symmetrical. The front porch will not be changed, just repaired, but the side porch is rotting off and will be put as a fire escape. It is currently being demo-ed. Motion by: Comm. Dineen Seconded by: Comm.
