Present: Commissioners Scott Steve, Thomas Larson, Juliene Ray, Abigail Cleary, Karen Leahy Absent: Commissioners Brett Barnes and Maria Manning Staff: Corporation Counsel Ric VanDonsel, Interim Director of Code Enforcement Mike Tenkate, Secretary Devon Rainbow Item #1 – 16 Owego St. (Barden) – Area Variance  4’ buffer No one present to speak. ZBA was looking to get a plan for elevation, parking as the porch is in the way, grade drops off and if so need to know the drainage. Need engineer drawings for Motion to table pending further information regarding grading, water management and engineer drawings. Motion: Comm. Ray Second: Comm. Larson Approved: Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Item #2 – 7 Cowance St (Smith) – Area Variance  Side yard entrance to garage and back yard No one preset to speak. Homeowner is looking to do a deck like walkway with drainage. There is no reason stated. There are concerns with width, dimensions, rationale and buffer. Motion to table to next meeting Motion: Comm. Corporation Counsel Ric VanDonsel has the Judge’s ruling to share. Possibly have more Zoning Officers available. Most issues are complaint driven. Cleary Approved: Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Minutes of the May 11, 2020 Meeting 2  City of Cortland – Zoning Board of Appeals Commissioner Larson suggested that if possible have the properties with violations resolve the violations before boards approve applications.
