Comments of public interest or on matters appearing on the agenda are accepted. Note, however, that the Council is not able to undertake extended discussion or act on non-agendized items. USDA Radio Grant Amended Scope of Work • Recommendation: Hear staff report • Take public comment • Authorize the City Manager to formally request and execute all documents to implement a change in the scope of work to the USDA Two Way Radio project for emergency operations to the purchase and installation of a National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) compliant records management system (RMS) for the Crescent City Police Department; take actions as necessary and appropriate. 14. Emergency Management Program Grant (EMPG) Award with Del Norte County Emergency Services for the Purchase of Emergency Portable Radios for Crescent City Fire and Rescue • Recommendation: Hear staff report • Take public comment • Approve and authorize the City manager to sign all necessary agreements to obtain $7,100 of grant funding through the Del Norte County Emergency Services for the purchase of public safety radios; take actions as necessary and appropriate. 15. Request for a Letter of opposition for AB 1356 (Ting) - Cannabis: Local Jurisdictions: Retail Commercial Cannabis Activity • Recommendation: Hear staff report • Take public comment • Authorize the Mayor to sign a letter in opposition to AB 1356 (Ting)- Cannabis: Local Jurisdictions: Retail Commercial Cannabis Activity. Traffic Safety Investigation Regarding Speed in front of Joe Hamilton Elementary School • Recommendation: Hear staff report • Take public comment • Direct the City Manager to install the recommended safety improvements near Joe Hamilton School. (Chief of Police/Public Works Director) CITY COUNCIL ITEMS ➢ Legislative Matters – Consider miscellaneous legislative matters pertinent to the City of Crescent City. Authorize the Mayor to sign the appropriate letters and/or positions with respect to such matters. ➢ City Manager Report and City Council Directives - Pursuant to Crescent City Municipal Code § 2.08.200, the City Council may instruct the city manager on matters of importance 4|Page 5/20/19 COUNCIL AGENDA to the administrative services of the City and provide direction with respect to subordinates of the City Manager. (Directives from individual Council Members that are not objected to by any member present shall be considered an order of the City Council.) ➢ Reports, Concerns, Referrals, Council travel and training reports – In accordance with Gov’t Code § 54954.2(a), City Council Members may make brief announcements or brief reports on their own activities.
