CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES March 13, 2024 11:00 A.M. Via Videoconference (ZOOM) Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by Chair Susan Ward; also present were Commissioner Rick Rogers, Chief Examiner Nelly Espinal, HR Director Ginny Werner, HR Generalist Christina Norman, Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour, Assistant Corp Counsel Dianne Rosemark, HR Assistant Aleyda Martinez, member from the public James Sweet. Minutes: Meeting February 28th, 2024. Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to accept the meeting minutes dated February 28th, 2024. Motion carried unanimously. Personnel Status: None Candidate Removal- Entry Police Officer Eligibility List Chair Ward offered the candidate the option to go into executive session should he not want the discussion regarding the status of their application to be discussed in an open session and on the record. The applicant elected to go into executive session. Motion made by Commission Rogers, and seconded by Chair Ward to go into executive session. Motion carried unanimously. Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to remove candidate #701545 James Sweet and candidate #699803 Joseph Lusardo from the Entry Level Police Officer eligibility list, as they were deemed unsuccessful. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Tree Worker/Bucket Operator – Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Tree Worker/Bucket Operator eligibility list with an expiration date of March 13, 2025. Motion carried unanimously. Certification of Senior Field Person – Eligibility List Motion made by Commissioner Rogers and seconded by Chair Ward to certify the Senior Field Person eligibility list with an expiration date of March 13, 2025. Motion carried unanimously. Adjourn Motion made by Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Chair Ward to adjourn.
