RICHTER PARK AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES Richter Park Authority Office Tuesday, August 16, 2022, 6:00 PM In compliance with Connecticut General Statute § 1-225, these minutes are being provided for informational purposes and are subject to approval of the Richter Park Authority Board of Directors at its next regular meeting. Chairman Pete Siecienski opened the meeting at 6:05 PM. Members present: George Radachowsky, Leroy Diggs, Al Mead, Bob Eberhard, Dave Lajoie and Pam St. Pierre. Also present: Jonathan Pinto, Head Golf Professional, Rob Dorsch, Golf Course Superintendent and Bobby Bria, Musicals at Richter. Public participation None. Approve minutes of previous meetings Mr. Mead made a motion to approve the minutes from the July RPA meeting. Mr. Eberhard seconded. Ms. St. Pierre abstained. Motion passed unanimously. Mr. Mead made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 19th Grounds and Greens meeting. Mr. Radachowsky seconded. Mr. Eberhard and Ms. St. Pierre abstained. Motion passed unanimously. Mr. Mead made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 20th and August 3rd Master Plan Committee meetings. Mr. Lajoie seconded. Mr. Eberhard, Mr. Radachowsky and Ms. St. Pierre abstained. Motion passed. Correspondence None. Arts Association None. Musicals at Richter It was a very successful year, thanks to the RPA, Rob, Jonathan and Karen. There were 10 performances with 1933 paying customers. Hoping to get approval after plans for a construction deck and storage unit. MPC-Richter House The 50th Anniversary celebration of Richter Park will be on September 17th starting at 11am. There will be a flyer made to send out along with other marketing tactics. FORe None. Business Manager’s Report none. Head Golf Professional Rounds in July were great! We’re approximately 3,000 rounds down from 2021. Health insurance renewal discussion is happening, with the renewal effective October 1st. Grounds and Greens There have only been three rain events in 77 days. There are more and more water restrictions. Spoke with David Day at the City and Danbury is in a Stage 2 draught. Financial report Mr. Mead made a motion to place the financial report on file. Mr. Eberhard seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Finance Committee Report Mr. Diggs mentioned that they are working on employee health insurance renewals. Old business The Richter House had a $650K grant approved for ADA compliance. Discussion of the former RPA member was tabled. New business The RPA officer election meeting will be Wednesday, September 7th. Mr. Mead will be the chair, and other members are Mr. Diggs and Mr. Lajoie. Chairman’s Comments/Report None.
