\Town of Dane Minutes 1/2/2023
Attendance: Angie Volkman (Clerk), Jana Nolden (Treasurer), Kendra Tutsch (Resident)
1) Call meeting to order. Meeting was called to order at 6:30 by Dave Koenig, Town of Dane Chair.
2) Agenda Confirmation. Agenda confirmed – no changes.
3) Minutes from Special Meeting December 5, 2022. Motion by Rich Haag, second by George Dorn to approve
minuets from 12/5/2022. Motion carried unanimously.
4) Minutes from previous meeting December 5, 2022. Motion by George Dorn, second by Rich Haag to approve
minutes from 12/5/2022. Motion carried unanimously.
5) Treasurer’s report will be presented. Motion by George Dorn, second by Rich Haag to approve the Treasurer
report as presented and read. Motion carried unanimously.
6) Public Input-No Action. None
7) Public Works Report: Discussion on snow removal. Dave reported that there was a message on the Town of
Dane recording regarding Dane Woods Trail and Dave will talk with the patrolmen. Dave also reported that the
patrolmen are doing a good job with the snow removal.
8) Recycling Committee Report. Rich reported everything at the Transfer Site looks good and no complaints from
Residents. Discussed making a sign “RESIDENTS ONLY” as we still get non-residents trying to use the site.
9) Fire District Report. George reported that at the last Fire District meeting radios were discussed and that they
are waiting until the second round due to pricing and see what other districts are facing.
10) EMS Report. Rich reported that at the Waunakee EMS meeting the expenditure statement was approved and
they restructured management. Waunakee is looking at getting 6 more paramedics by the end of the year,
need to run 2 ambulances fulltime and they also looked at the employee manual for changes. Rich also reported
that Lodi did not have a meeting.
11) ADP Payroll: Discussion on digital timeclocks. Angie discussed the process of digital timeclocks along with the
benefits for the patrolmen and her. Our timeclock is VERY old, doesn’t keep time and this would help
tremendously with more efficient payroll processes. Motion by George Dorn, second by Rich Haag to approve
ADP Payroll Digital timeclocks. Motion carried unanimously.
12) Set Caucus date and time for April Elections- January 7, 2023 at 10:00am at Town Hall. 1/7/2023 at 10am.
13) Diane Karls CSM Audrey Prieve: Gluth Rd. Motion by George Dorn, second by Rich Haag to approve the CSM.
Motion carried unanimously.
14) Correspondence to be presented-No Action. None
15) Bills to be paid. Motion by George Dorn, second by Rich to pay the bills. Motion carried unanimously.
16) Set next meeting date-February 6, 2023. Next meeting 2/6/2023.
17) Closed session:
1) Convene to Closed Session pursuant to WI State Statutes 19.85 (1) (c) Considering employment,
promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the
governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility regarding Town of Dane Personnel. Roll
Call
2) Reconvene to Open Session and take action if necessary. Roll Call. Motion by Dave Koenig, second by
Rich Haag to come out of closed session. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Dave Koenig,
second by Rich Haag to give $1/hr. more to each patrolman and 2 more days of vacation a year.
Motion carried unanimously.
18) Adjourn. Motion by George Dorn, second by Rich Haag to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
