8/7/2023 Minutes Attendance: Angie Volkman (Town Clerk), Jana Nolden (Town Treasurer), Residents: Diane Karls, Kevin & Barb Taylor, Tom & Nicolle Herbsleb, Nancy & Paul Roth, Dennis Kohlmeyer, Jeff Galle, Jennifer Persike, Matthew Niesen, Earl Duhr, Kendra Tutsch, and Vince Niesen. TriCounty Paving: Dustin G., Pat C., and Terry W. 1. Call meeting to order. The meeting was called to order by Dave Koenig at 6:30pm. 2. Proof of posting. Posted on Town website, Town Hall door, Post Office, and Dane Lumber on 8/4/2023. 3. Roll call. Dave Koenig, George Dorn and Rich Haag. 4. Addition or Corrections/Approval of Agenda. Confirmed, no changes. 5. Approve minutes from the last regular board meeting 7/10/2023. Motion by Haag, second by Dorn to approve the minutes from the last board meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 6. Treasurer Report. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to approve the treasurer report as presented and read. Motion carried unanimously. 7. Public Input-no action will be taken. Deputy Jodi was present and let the board know if there is anything she can do during the round-about construction to please reach out. Diana Karls, Nicole Herbsleb, Jennifer Persike, and Matt Neisen all spoke in regards to the Quarry being requesting by the CUP. 8. PUBLIC WORKS REPORT. Discussion and Possible action on John Deere Loader Repairs. Koenig reported that the loader has been broke down for the last 2-3 weeks and the estimate is around $9,000.00 to fix/repair. Motion by Haag, second by Dorn to repair the John Deere loader tractor. Motion carried unanimously. 9. RECYCLING COMMITTEE REPORT. Haag reported all is well at the Transfer Site and Wednesday night is still going well being open 5-6:30pm. 10. FIRE DISTRICT REPORT. Dorn reported that at the last meeting they paid bills and continue to look into the new radios. 11. EMS REPORT. Haag reported that Waunakee EMS is having issues with sending emails and working through that in the email program along with contracts and they also approved the expenditure statement and paid the bills. Haag was unable to make the Lodi EMS meeting. 12. EMS Report. Haag reported that Waunakee had its EMS meeting on 6/8/23 and they approved the minutes 13. Old Business. NEW BUSINESS (The following items will be discussed and may have action taken on them.) a.Special Meeting Aug 14th at 6:30pm. Discussion Erosion Control for Conditional Use Permit (CUP) & possible action on CUP requested by J&D Quarry. Confirmed. b. Contract between Tri-County Paving & Town of Dane for Attorney and Engineering Fees reimbursement. Motion by Koenig, second by Dorn to go into contract with Tri-County Paving & Town of Dane for Attorney and Engineering fees reimbursement. Motion carried unanimously. c. Clarence Dresen ditch bank. Koenig reported that the ditch bank needs to be repaired and its not the responsibility of the Town. Motion by Koenig, second by Haag to deny the Town to pay for and fix the ditch. Motion carried unanimously. 15. CORRESPONDENCE (no action taken. None 16. FINANCE. Bills to be paid. Motion by Haag, second by Dorn to pay the bills. Motion carried unanimously. 17.
