CITY OF DARLINGTON COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS JUNE 10, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike McDermott at 8:00 PM. Present at roll call were: Joe Boll, Cindy Corley, Dave Roelli, John Sonsalla, Steve Pickett, and Kerry Black. Absent: None. Also present was: Amy Johnson. Motion by Sonsalla, seconded by Pickett, the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Under new business, no discussion was held concerning a recommendation from the Finance and Personnel committee because no recommendation was made. Discussion was then held concerning the recommendation from the Library Board to approve the hiring of an applicant for the Library Board. Alderperson Cindy Corley stated that the Board is recommending hiring Janet Trout for this position, with a starting salary of $ 45,000 per year, plus benefits and one week of vacation. After discussion and consideration, a motion was made by Roelli to accept the recommendation with the addition of a $1.00 per hour pay increase for each semester of classes completed towards obtaining the Library Director Level 2. No second, motion failed. After further discussion, motion by Corley, seconded by Boll, to accept the recommendation with the addition of an increase in pay of $1.00 per hour for the completion of two semesters of classes towards obtaining the Library Direct Level 2. Motion carried. There being no further business for this meeting, motion by Roelli, seconded by Pickett, to adjourn the meeting at 8:12 PM. Motion carried. CITY OF DARLINGTON Amy L.
