COMBINED MEETING OF THE FINANCE AND PERSONNEL
COMMITTEE AND POLICE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 3, 2024
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike McDermott at 6:30 PM. Present at roll
call were: Cindy Corley, John Sonsalla, Steve Pickett, Kerry Black, Dave Roelli, and Mike
McDermott. Absent: None. Also present were: Szvon Conway, Nick Mantsch, and Amy Johnson.
Motion by Pickett, second by Sonsalla that the meeting notice and agenda were properly
posted. Motion carried. Motion by Pickett, second by Roelli to approve the minutes of the
previous meeting. Motion carried.
Motion by Black, second by Roelli to go into closed session in accordance with Section
19.85 (1) (e) Wis. Stats., to consider a Memorandum of Understanding with the Darlington
Professional Police Association. Roll Call Vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Corley, second by Roelli to reconvene into open session in accordance with
19.85(2) Wis. Stats., to take action if necessary, concerning a Memorandum of Understanding with
the Darlington Professional Police Association; and adjourn the meeting.
After discussion and consideration, motion by Black, second by Boll to recommend the
approval of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Darlington Professional Police
Association. Motion carried.
There being no further business for this meeting, motion by Corley, second by Pickett to
adjourn the meeting at 6:45 PM. Motion carried.

ON TUESDAY THE 3rd DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2024 AT 6:30 PM; WHICH
MEETING IS TO BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL ROOM AT THE
DARLINGTON MUNICIPAL BUILDING, DARLINGTON, WISCONSIN
1. Call to order by presiding officer.
2. Roll call.
3. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
4. Approve the minutes of the previous meeting, rectifying mistakes if any exist. (Copy
enclosed)
5. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present.
6. Unfinished or deferred business from previous committee meetings.
7. New business. Including but not limited to the introduction of Ordinances and
Resolutions.
The Committee will go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85 (1) (e) Wis.
Stats., to consider a Memorandum of Understanding with the Darlington Professional
Police Association.
The Committee will reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85 (2)
Wis. Stats., to take action if necessary, concerning a Memorandum of Understanding with
the Darlington Professional Police Association; and adjourn the meeting.
8. Adjourn the meeting.
