FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
REGULAR SESSION
JUNE 17, 2025
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike McDermott at 6:30 PM. Present at roll
call were: Mike McDermott, Dave Roelli, Steve Pickett, and Kerry Black. Absent: None. Also
present were: Cindy Corley and Amy Johnson.
Motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly
posted. Motion carried. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, to approve the minutes of the
previous meeting. Motion carried.
Under new business, it was the consensus of the committee that a closed session was not
necessary. After discussion and sonsideration, motion by Pickett, seconded by Roelli, to
recommend to the Council the Hiring of Danni Garcia-Havens for the Wellness Center Director
position at $25.00 per hour and two weeks of vacation. Motion carried.
There being no further business for this meeting, motion by Roelli, seconded by Black, to
adjourn the meeting at 6:35 PM. Motion carried.

COMMITTEE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DARLINGTON TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, THE 17th DAY OF JUNE
2025 AT 6:30 PM; WHICH MEETING IS TO BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL
ROOM AT THE DARLINGTON MUNICIPAL BUILDING,
DARLINGTON, WISCONSIN
1. Call to order by presiding officer.
2. Roll call.
3. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
4. Approve the minutes of the previous meeting, rectifying mistakes if any exist. (Copy
enclosed)
5. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present.
6. Unfinished or deferred business from previous committee meetings.
7. New business. Including but not limited to the introduction of Ordinances and
Resolutions.
The Committee will go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85 (1) (c) Wis. Stats., to
review applicants interviewed for the Wellness Center Director Position and, if appropriate,
recommend the hiring of this applicant for the position;
The Committee will reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats.,
to recommend the hiring of a Wellness Center Director employee, if appropriate, to the City
Council for approval; to adjourn the meeting.
8. Adjourn the meeting.
