FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 29, 2025
The meeting was called to order by Mayor McDermott at 2:00 PM. Present at roll call
were: Dave Roelli, Steve Pickett, Kerry Black, and Mayor McDermott. Absent: None. Also
present were: Dave Lindecker, Joe Boll, Cindy Corley, John Sonsalla, and Amy Johnson.
Motion by Roelli, seconded by Pickett, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
Motion carried. Joe Boll arrived at 2:05 PM.
Under new business, motion by Roelli, seconded by Pickett, to go into closed session in
accordance with Section 19.85(1) (c) Wis. Stats., to interview candidates for the Public Works
position; and if appropriate, recommend the hiring of this applicant for the position. Roll Call Vote:
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Motion by Pickett, second by Roelli, to reconvene to regular session in accordance with
Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats., to recommend an applicant for the Public Works position to the City
Council for approval. Roll Call Vote: All Ayes. Motion carried.
After discussion and consideration, motion by Pickett, seconded by Roelli, to recommend
to the Council the hiring of Kathrine Ottenhausen for the Public Works position, with the starting
wage of $24.00 an hour, and two weeks of vacation. Motion carried.
There being no further business for this meeting, motion by Black, seconded by Roelli, to
adjourn the meeting at 4:00 PM.

CITY OF DARLINGTON TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, THE 29th DAY OF
DECEMBER, 2025, AT 2:00 PM; WHICH MEETING IS TO BE HELD IN
THE COUNCIL ROOM AT THE DARLINGTON MUNICIPAL BUILDING,
DARLINGTON, WISCONSIN
1. Call to order by presiding officer.
2. Roll call.
3. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
4. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present. (3-minute limit)
5. Unfinished or deferred business from previous committee meetings.
6. New business. Including but not limited to the introduction of Ordinances and
Resolutions.
The Committee will go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85 (1) (c) Wis. Stats., to
interview applicants for the Public Works Position.
The Committee will reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats.,
to recommend the hiring of a Public Works employee, if appropriate, to the City Council for
approval.
7. Adjourn the meeting.
