FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 20, 2026 The meeting was called to order by Mayor McDermott at 6:00 PM. Present at roll call were: Kerry Black, Mayor McDermott, Dave Roelli, and Steve Pickett. Absent: None. Also present were: Dave Lindecker, Joe Boll, Cindy Corley, John Sonsalla, Attorney Aaron Stauffacher, and Amy Johnson. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, to approve the meeting minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried. Under new business, discussion was held concerning offering employees a payment in lieu of health insurance incentive. Several examples were included in the agenda packet. This incentive would replace employees' health, supplemental dental, and vision insurance if they can provide proof of health insurance with their spouse, significant other, or parent, and elect not to take the City’s health care benefits. Several questions were asked by those present. After discussion and consideration, motion by Black, seconded by Roelli, to offer a $4,000.00 per year or $153.85 per pay period (26 pay periods). Motion carried. Discussion was then held that the employee handbook will need to be updated to reflect the incentive being offered. Motion by Black, seconded by Pickett, to approve Attorney Stauffacher updating the language in the handbook and present it at the next Finance Meeting. Motion carried.
