PLEDGE TO THE FLAG: PUBLIC COMMENTS: – Citizen comments limited to items not on the agenda and comments on items listed on the agenda will take place after discussion of each item. 4. BUSINESS: A. Discussion regarding Bulk Reclaimed Water Rate Analysis - Gerald Chancellor, Public Works / Utilities (386) 878-8998. Strategic Plan: Infrastructure Background: Based on direction provided at an earlier workshop regarding water and sewer rates, it was determined that staff was to have a more detailed analysis conducted regarding wholesale (bulk) rates. Staff has worked with Burton & Associates (Burton) to provide a detailed analysis of general wholesale service rates for potential future customers. Burton has prepared a presentation to discuss their findings. Attachments: Deltona Bulk Reclaimed Water Presentation B. Public Hearing - Ordinance No. 25-2016, Amending Section 18-103, relating to demolition of structures, by allowing a structure that is to be demolished to be utilized before demolition as the site of Deltona Fire Department and Volusia County Sheriff’s Office training, at first reading and to schedule second and City of Deltona Page 1 Printed on 6/13/2016 City Commission Workshop Regular Commission Meeting June 13, 2016 final reading for June 27, 2016 - Becky Vose, Legal Department (407) 448-0111. Strategic Goal: Beautification and Public Safety Background: The City of Deltona is now permitted to demolish certain unfit and unsafe structures, and it was suggested that such structures before demolition could be used for a short period of time for training by the Deltona Fire Department and Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. This ordinance would allow such use. Attachments: Ordinance No. 25-2016 C. Discussion regarding possible ordinance regulating drivers of vehicles for hire - Becky Vose, Legal Department (407) 448-0111. Strategic Goal: Public Safety Background: Captain Eagan has indicated that he believes it to be in the best interest of the citizens of Deltona for the drivers of vehicles for hire to be screened through background checks. This ordinance would accomplish that goal. Attachments: Ordinance No. 22-2016 5. CITY MANAGER COMMENTS: 6.
