PUBLIC COMMENTS: – Citizen comments limited to items not on the agenda and
comments on items listed on the agenda will take place after discussion of each
item.
4. BUSINESS:
A. Discussion and review of proposed draft of FY 2016/2017 Annual Budget for
General Fund and Capital Projects Funds as well as proposed millage rate.
Strategic Goal: Maintain a balanced budget, reserves and investments
Background: City staff is currently working on the FY 2016/2017 Proposed Annual
Budget. The proposed General Fund and Capital Projects Funds
budgets were previously provided to the Commission for review.
The adoption of the tentative proposed millage rate is scheduled for
July 18, 2016 at a special Commission meeting. Adoption of the
tentative proposed millage rate is the first step in the process to
adopt the millage rate and Annual Budget for FY 2016/2017. Based
on the proposed General Fund budget, staff is recommending the
City adopt the current millage rate of 7.99 for the FY 2016/2017
fiscal year.
A second budget meeting to review and discuss the Enterprise Fund
(Deltona Water), Special Revenue Funds, Grants Funds and
Miscellaneous Funds is scheduled as the agenda topic for the ed
