1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Avila.
2. ROLL CALL – CITY CLERK:
Present: 5 - Commissioner Avila-Vazquez
Commissioner Burbank
Commissioner McCool
Vice Mayor Bradford
Mayor Avila
Absent: 2 - Commissioner Colwell
Commissioner JodyLee
3. PLEDGE TO THE FLAG:
Mayor Avila led everyone in the pledge to the flag.
4. PRESENTATIONS:
A. Presentation regarding Flipside Mentorship presented by Latisha
Alamo, CEO.
Founder Latisha Alamo, and Vice President Ben gave a brief presentation on Flipside
Mentorship Program. Ms. Alamo explained that she started the program because of bulling
in Schools. The presentation included Virtual Mentorship, Amazing Quarterly Events,
Community Service Projects, Why This Matters, Flipside Reviews, and What has Flipside
Taught the Kids.
The Commission, Ms. Alamo and staff discussed 501c, virtual programs, in person events,
sponsors, volunteers, developing seminars, partnering with the City, other potential
partners, insurance and liability requirements, and contacting Ruben Colon with the school
board.

A. Parks & Recreation Department Report
Parks and Recreation Director, Mark Manning provided a brief report on Parks &
Recreation upcoming events.
The Mayor and staff discussed the need for a bigger gym at Wes Crile Park and the
potential cost of the project.
6. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Time permitted, public comments shall be limited to items
on the agenda and shall not exceed two minutes. Please be courteous and respectful
of the views of others. Personal attacks on Commission members, City staff or
members of the public are not allowed, and will be ruled out of order by the Mayor.
None.
7. CITY MANAGER COMMENTS:
None.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:04 p.m.
