NEW BUSINESS 8. A. Public Hearing on Unilateral Annexation Recommend a Motion to: 1  Approve an ordinance annexing the identified properties. 8. B. Zone Change Request from R-1 "Single-Family Residential" to RPUD "Residential Planned Unit Development" - North of Meadowlark Blvd. at Rawhide St. Recommend a Motion to: Approve an ordinance rezoning the subject property from R-1 "Single-Family Residential" to RPUD "Residential Planned Unit Development" based upon the Planning Commission's findings of fact, subject to the requirement that the property be platted within one year of the effective date of the ordinance. 8. C. Resolution Authorizing the Sale of General Obligation Bonds & Authorization of Rock Road Improvements Recommend a Motion to: Approve a resolution authorizing improvement of Rock Road from Patriot Avenue to Freedom Street, and approve a resolution authorizing the sale of General Obligation Bond Series 2014-A of the City of Derby. 8. D. Resolutions for Improvements in the Oaks, the Oaks 2nd Addition, and the Oaks 3rd Addition Recommend a Motion to: Adopt resolutions for construction of public improvements to serve properties in the Oaks, Oaks 2nd Addition, and Oaks 3rd Addition. 8. E. Board and Commission Appointments Recommend a Motion to: Approve the Mayor’s reappointments and appointments to Derby Boards and Commissions. 8. F. 2014 ACE Grant Awards 2  Recommend a Motion to: Approve ACE Grant awards of $3,000 each for the Barbeque Festival, Shop Derby and Summerfest; $2,500 to the Derby Twins, and $1,000 for the Kite Festival. 8. G. Election of Council President Recommend a Motion to: Hold the election. 9. CONSENT AGENDA Recommend a Motion to: Approve the Consent Agenda. 9. A. Purchase an LED Sign for Rock River Rapids 9. B.
