RE: Reading Buddies.
Dee Williams informed the Board that the Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force is
recognizing the Derby Senior Center Reading Buddies as a Friend of Education for the 2014
Outstanding Contributions to Public Education in Kansas Award.

RE: Advisory Board Fund report for March 2014.
Duane Day reported the expenses were $377.60, revenue was $216.99, and the ending balance in
January was $15,153.40.
MOTION: Gerald Brownlee moved to receive and file the Advisory Board Fund report for
March 2014. Jim Burges seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried.

RE: Approve March 2014 Advisory Board Meeting minutes.
MOTION: Jim Burgess made a motion that the minutes from March 2014 be approved. Duane
Day seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried.
Agenda Item #4
RE: Derby Dash Scholarship Fund Report.
Dee Williams reviewed the Derby Dash Scholarship Fund report; there were $160 in
scholarships used in March. The ending balance is $607.

MOTION: Duane Day moved to receive and file the March 2014 Derby Dash Scholarship Fund
report. Tom Davidson seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried
Agenda Item #5
RE: March TNT (Chicken & Noodles).
Tom Davidson reported the March TNT had 68 paying patrons with 8 volunteers. Including the
quilt raffle the net proceeds were $392.78. The Quilt Raffle winner was Marge Jones
.
RE: April TNT (Baked Pork Tenderloin).
Tom reported that the April TNT had 74 paying patrons with 10 volunteers totaling 84. The net
profit was $248.33.

RE: Advisory Board Applications.
Dee Williams stated four applications were received for the Advisory Board, appointments will
take place at the April 8th City Council meeting.
Agenda Item #7
RE: Sunflower Travel.
Dee Williams reported that Sunflower Travel who partners with Collette Tours signed the
Memorandum of Understanding.
