RE: Pool Table.
Gerald Brownlee stated one of the pool tables needs recovered and he suggested the Board pay
for it.
MOTION: Gerald Brownlee moved the DSC Advisory Board pay no more than $500 to recover
the south pool table. Tom Davidson seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried.
RE: Corrected DSC Advisory Board Terms.
Dee Williams informed the Board members they have corrected Advisory Board terms in their
manuals on page two, DSC Board Members section.

RE: Advisory Board Fund report for May 2014.
Diane Schmitt reported expenses were $59.97, revenue $161.71, and the ending balance for May
was $15,762.25.
MOTION: Duane Day moved to receive and file the Advisory Board Fund report for May
2014. Tom Davidson seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried.

RE: Approve May 2014 Advisory Board Meeting minutes.
MOTION: Jim Burgess made a motion to approve the minutes from May 2014 as corrected.
Duane Day seconded.

RE: Derby Dash Scholarship Fund Report.
Dee Williams reviewed the Derby Dash Scholarship Fund report; $150 in scholarships were
used in May and a donation received from Cross of Glory Church for $287.33. The ending
balance is $664.33.
MOTION: Duane Day moved to receive and file the May 2014 Derby Dash Scholarship Fund
report. Duane Day seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried

RE: May TNT (BBQ Beef Sandwich & Cole Slaw).
Diane Schmitt reported the June TNT had 76 paying patrons with 7 volunteers. The net proceeds
were $172.56.

RE: Open Meeting and Open Records – Jacque Butler.
Jacque Butler, Attorney for the City of Derby reviewed statutes governing Kansas Open
Meetings and Kansas Open Records.

RE: Directional Senior Service Signs.
Jim Burgess volunteered to draft a letter regarding directional signage for the Senior Center and
present it at the next Board meeting. Discussion was held. Eleanor Underwood stated at the
Listening to Derby meeting City Council member Darrell Downing was interested in this issue.

RE: July Advisory Board Meeting.
Dee Williams informed the Board members there will be no July Advisory Board meeting.
MOTION: Duane Day made a motion to cancel the July Advisory Board meeting. Tom
Davidson seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried
