UNAPPROVED SUMMARY MINUTES SENIOR SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD 10:00 A.M. April 6, 2016 CITY OF DERBY ROLL CALL GERALD BROWNLEE JANICE NEAGLE - ABSENT JIM BURGESS DIANE SCHMITT, TREASURER TOM DAVIDSON, SECRETARY ELEANOR UNDERWOOD, CHAIRMAN DUANE DAY, VICE CHAIRMAN - ABSENT CITY STAFF DEE WILLIAMS KIM HART Public Forum Agenda Item #1 RE: Treadmill. Dee Williams stated a new treadmill will be purchased for the fitness room. RE: Elvis. Dee Williams stated on June 14th the Senor Center will have Elvis entertainment at The Venue and the event is open to the public. RE: Accreditation Recognition. Dee reminded the Board members that on April 26th the Accreditation Committee will be recognized at the City Council Meeting at 6:30pm. Agenda Item #2 RE: Advisory Board Fund report March 2016. Diane Schmitt gave the Advisory Board Fund report for March 2016. The deposits totaled $375. expenditures were $721.58 with an ending balance $13,377.24. MOTION: Gerald Brownlee moved to receive and file the Advisory Board Fund report for March 2016. Tom Davidson seconded. VOTE: 4 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #3 RE: Approve March 2016 Advisory Board Meeting minutes. 1 MOTION: Gerald Brownlee made a motion to approve the minutes from March 2, 2016. Tom Davidson seconded. VOTE: 4 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #4 RE: Approve March 2016 Derby Dash Scholarship Report. Dee Williams gave the report for the March Derby Dash Scholarship Report. There was $50 in donations used for scholarships in March leaving an ending balance $479. MOTION: Gerald Brownlee made a motion to approve the Derby Dash Scholarship Report for March 2016. Diane Schmitt seconded. VOTE: 4 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #5 RE: Accreditation. Dee Williams stated she heard back from Ms. O’Leary in regards to the Accreditation book. Dee said there is work to be done to complete the book to their standards and she and Kim Hart are working on it. Agenda Item #6 RE: February & March 2016 TNT. Tom Davidson stated in February they served Taco Salad at the TNT and served 74 patrons with a profit of $161.74. Tom stated in March they served baked sliced ham and served 81 patrons with a profit of $189.47. Tom stated they need more volunteers to help out with the TNT. Dee Williams said she would try to get something in the June Newsletter. Tom said they could use help on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm and some Mondays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Agenda Item #7 RE: Covered Dish Chicken. Kim Hart stated Eleanor Underwood is in charge of picking up the chicken for the Covered Dish Lunch. Agenda Item #8 RE: Survey Results. Dee Williams reviewed the 2015 Derby Senior Center Survey Results with the board. Discussion was held. 2 Dee announced that she is retiring and her last day at work is June 20, 2016.
