BreAnna stated she had no comments at this time.
RE: Sedgwick County Council on Aging
Jim Burgess stated the Sedgwick County Council on Aging meets today. Jim said they have a
short agenda and he will give an update at the next Advisory Board meeting.

RE: Advisory Board Fund Report August 2020.
Diane Schmitt gave the report for the Advisory Board Fund report August 2020. Diane said
there was $141 in contributions and $0 in expenses for a total balance $5,635.09.
MOTION: Duane Day moved the Advisory Board Fund Report for August 2020 be approved.
Dixie Chapman seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried

RE: Approve August 12, 2020 Minutes.
MOTION: Jim Burgess made a motion to approve the August 12, 2020 minutes,
Duane Day seconded.

RE: Approve August 2020 Derby Dash Scholarship Report
BreAnna gave the August 2020 Derby Dash Scholarship Report. $0 were used for senior
scholarships which leaves an ending balance of $131. BreAnna said the non-senior Derby Dash
Scholarship Program used $100 and had a donation of $500 for an ending balance of $920.
MOTION: Jim Burgess made a motion to approve the Derby Dash Scholarship Report for
August 2020. Janice Neagle seconded.
VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried

BreAnna stated there were no center updates at this time.

BreAnna said there were no suggestion cards at this time.

RE: Covid-19
BreAnna let the Board know a COVID report is sent monthly to the Department on Aging,
Stacey Nilles. She stated we have the highest safely counted COVID attendance. Jim Burgess
asked how many are we seeing weekly? BreAnna Monk stated upwards of 5 to 10 additional
people each week. BreAnna mentioned the new adjustments to Progressive Bingo concessions
we are bringing back hot dogs cooked & individually wrapped with condiments in packets not
bottles. Nachos will have chips bagged, chili and cheese in individually served containers and
all will be on a tray. Water and soda still in bottles and cans.

RE: Board Funding
BreAnna Monk stated the Murder Mystery Board fundraiser will be at the end of October 2020.
Spears will be catering and all food will be in containers. The cost will be $20 per person.
BreAnna asked for two Board members to be at the door. The fundraising letters are scheduled
to go out next month along with the WSU surveys.

BreAnna stated the Accreditation letters will go out with the fundraising letters and WSU
surveys.

Information: The next Advisory Board meeting is Wednesday
October 14, 2020 9:15 AM, immediately following the Nutrition Center Council meeting.
