MAYOR’S REPORT
The Mayor reported for April 2022 with total receipts of $ --- which included traffic
receipts of $ ---, non-traffic receipts of $0, and $ ---- in clerk of court and no
miscellaneous receipts. There were --- complaint calls, --traffic citations, -- non-
traffic citations, and no parking tickets.
Mayor Nicely reported one wedding officiated for 1st Quarter of 2022 - Receipt of $20
K-9 REPORT
The K-9 balance is $ ----- at the end of April 2022.
ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT
There were Zoning applications submitted to BIU for processing in the month of April
2022.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Public Works – Adam Hebenthal submitted report to council.
Buildings and Grounds – Block needs Repointed/Windows Public Works Garage,
Plumbing, New Floor in Foyer Municipal Building
Police – Neighborhood Watch Program - Quote for new vehicle was distributed to
council at the worksession. Proposal Agreement was distributed to council by Doug
Sam at the worksession. Discussion of direct wired cameras to be installed at the
community park, mossback park, and 2nd Ward Playground due to vandalism.
Finance/Budget –

Zoning/UCC/Code – Code enforcement officer. BIU is currently handling our Zoning
Permit Applications.
Parks and Recreation –Playground mulch was ordered for 2nd Ward Playground, Pool
Playground and Community Park. Dog Park (Chad)
Fire Protection –
Pool Committee – Pool Cover (Chad) - Upgrades will be needed at pool in near
future. A plan needs to be put in place.
Grants –CDBG Sidewalks Grant Application September 2022, Local Share Account
Category 4 Facilities Program
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Derry Borough Council went into executive session at 8:14pm at the Derry Borough
Council Worksession held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Discussion included personnel
of public works and police negotiations. Personnel of the Derry Community Pool
was also discussed. Executive session ended at 8:45pm.

8. Approve purchasing a 2022 Ford Interceptor SUV 4-door all-wheel drive Police
Vehicle Total Cost $50,343 (with upfitting)
9. Approve contributing $10,000 towards playground equipment for the Community
Park to support DARCee Playground Equipment Project upon receipt of final plans for
equipment purchase with installation from DARCee and approval from DASD board.
