MAYOR’S REPORT
The Mayor reported for June with total receipts of $, which included traffic receipts of $,
non-traffic receipts of $0, and $in clerk of court and miscellaneous receipts. There were
complaint calls, traffic citations, one non-traffic citation, and parking ticket.
K-9 REPORT
The K-9 balance is $ ______ at the end of May 2022.
ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT
There were 2 Zoning applications submitted to BIU for processing in the month of May
2022.

Buildings and Grounds – Pea Gravel to be placed at Community Park
Police –
Finance/Budget – EIT Collections are up 13.9 %, We are at 49% for expenditures for
the year as of the end of June, including all the new equipment and maintenance
expenses that have occurred. Revenues are at 76.44% which is a positive as well.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Borough Council went into executive session at the Derry Borough Council
Worksession on Tuesday, July5th, 2022 at 8:19pm for pool personnel discussion.
Executive session ended at 8:28pm.
DARCee CAR Show will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 Noon – 4pm
Derry’s Great Garage Sale will be held August 5th and August 6th, 2022

1. Board and Commission terms expiring in the Borough:
a) One five-year-term for the Zoning Hearing Board expiring December 31, 2025 and
one vacancy of an unexpired term ending December 31, 2024 and (1) alternate
board member.
b) Two (2) four-year term for the planning commission expiring December 31, 2025.
Appoint Noah Alter to the Planning Commission.

7. Police Pension Plan Amendments – Mayor Nicely mentioned that there is a new law
in the state of PA regarding police pension plans to include part-time officers. Council
agreed to discuss with Lee Demosky at the next meeting.

4. W. 3rd Avenue Bridge Project – Matt Burns reviewed to develop a cost estimate for
submission for the Local Share Account Category 4 Facilities Grant Program
5. Update Public Works Policy/Safety Procedures and Job Descriptions
6. Kennedy Property – E. 1st Avenue
7. Purchase a projector for council meetings and the pool to display photos when
necessary and movies in an amount up to $500.
